Corrales defeats Fuller in 10-round bout

CARSON, Calif. (AP) Former IBF junior lightweight Diego
Corrales of Las Vegas knocked out Damien Fuller of Detroit in the
third round of their scheduled 10-round bout Friday at the Home
Depot Center.
Corrales floored Fuller with a left hand and referee Ray Corona
stopped the bout at 48 seconds of the round.
Corrales, who weighed 131{ pounds, is 31-1 with 31 knockouts.
Fuller is 21-4 with 10 KOs.
In another 10-round scheduled bout, Ishe Smith of Las Vegas used
a left hook to the body to knock out Sal Lopez of Newark, N.J., in
the second round. Referee Marty Denkin counted to 10 at 1:31 of the
round.
Smith, who is 12-0 with 7 KOs, weighs 148 pounds. Lopez is
18-5-2 with 10 wins by KO. He weighed 147.
