DALLAS (AP) Bryan Hopkins and Quinton Ross scored 20 points
apiece to lead SMU to a 82-69 over San Jose State on Thursday
night.
SMU (11-9, 6-4 Western Athletic) got 14 points from Patrick
Simpson and Eric Castro.
The Mustangs trailed 40-30 at halftime on 48 percent shooting,
but managed 65 percent shooting in the second half.
San Jose State (5-14, 2-8) was led by Brandon Lawrence, who had
a double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds. Keith West added 13
points.
San Jose State shot 39 percent for the game.
