UC Santa Barbara 52, Idaho 44

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) UC Santa Barbara went on a 15-0 run in the final five minutes to rally for a 52-44 victory over Idaho Saturday.

Branduinn Fullove scored 10 of his team-high 13 points in the second half as the Gauchos (11-10, 8-3 Big West conference) remained tied with Utah State for first place in the Big West.

Tyrone Hayes and Rashaad Powell combined to make 9-of-10 field goals and scored 10 points apiece to lead Idaho (9-11, 5-6).

Santa Barbara shot just 32.6 percent for the game and missed nine-straight shots midway through the second half to fall behind by five points.

Dwayne Williams made consecutive 3-pointers to give Idaho a 42-37 lead with 6:09 to go.

But the Gauchos' Mark Hull, who missed his first six shots of the night, hit two free throws and his first basket a 3-pointer to tie the game 42-42 with 3:48 left.

Fullove then put UC Santa Barbara ahead for good with a three-point play. Nick Jones sealed the win by scoring the Gauchos' last six points, which included four free throws. The Gauchos were 18-for-19 from the line as a team.

Idaho, which shot just 24.1 percent in the second half after making 61.1 percent in the first, missed its last nine shots from the floor.
