One person dead, three wounded in shooting at LA party

LOS ANGELES (AP) One person was killed and three others were
wounded after a gunman opened fire Saturday at a party in East Los
Angeles, authorities said.
The gunman began firing into a crowd of 25 partygoers about
12:15 a.m., said Sheriff's Deputy Scott Butler. One man was
pronounced dead at the scene, and three others were taken to a
hospital in critical condition, he said.
No other details were released.
Sheriff's homicide detectives were investigating.
